Anime First Impressions
Please Put Them On, Takamine-san is an ecchi rom-com where the preppy school class president is an overachieving goddess and the main character is some no life loner who’s bad at pretty much everything.
Takamine, is a highly renowned student with everything going for her — grades; sports; looks; friends. However, she has a secret that she keeps from everyone.
Shirota, on the other hand, is the complete opposite. He’s a slacking student with no skill or friends and tries to keep to himself as much as possible.

With that being said, here’s everything you need to know about Episode 1 “Become My Closet”
What Happens in Episode 1?
Now I’m not going to sugar coat it. This anime has a lot of fan service. If you are under 18, this probably isn’t for you.
We start with following Shirota, a loner who usually spends his between class time in the PE equipment room. Unusually, this time Takamine — the school’s overachieving “beautiful” class president — walks in and begins undressing. Stunned, Shirota silently watches out of sight as she puts on a bra… which she wasn’t wearing earlier.
Quickly, we cut to class where the students get back their test scores. Takamine gets a test score she’s unhappy with and suddenly removes her underwear in front of the whole class. After a weird butterfly transition, time rewinds. Shirota realizes she got a better test score and that something’s not right. Later he confronts her. She flips the situation, accusing him of spying, but then casually explains her strange ability.

She calls it “A maiden who has not been defiled. Eternal Virgin Road,” which allows her to undo things when she takes off any part of her underwear.
From there things escalate quickly. She demonstrates her abilities and demands that he be her “closet” or she will ruin him. If he follows her instructions, he too can become one of “the one” and use her ability to rewind.
And that about sums it up. No cliffhanger. No real reason to keep watching except for the mild curiosity of if we will see more fan service.
Then the episode closes with the opening song. The animation isn’t all that outstanding. A lot of slow animation and not many cuts. It’s about as boring as I expect the anime to be. The song is catchy, but not overly so. It’s called “Baby Baby Baby” by “Masami Okui.” Linked below.
Animation, Soundtrack, and Voice Over. Is it any good?
I’m going to have to give this an about average as it can get score. The voice actors are good, but the animation doesn’t really have much ground. The reverse time animation is so weird and confusing that I could just cut it out and the whole show doesn’t change.
The comedy is run of the mill. I didn’t really laugh all that much at the show. I think I chuckled like twice and the jokes weren’t even that good.
The soundtrack was decent for the intro, but the sound effects and music during the show were minimal. It doesn’t really carry the show along to the next scene.
Final Thoughts
With the show being mediocre in almost all aspects, the only thing this show has is the fan service. Please Put Them On Takamine-san Episode 1 has very few things to note as good. There was no series setup or a reason for me to keep watching the show so I give this episode a 4/10. It just barely meets my cutoff for continuing watching so I guess we will see if it gets better.
